On Monday, the Parkside Rams faced the Wicomico Indians in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Parkside was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 50-49 to Wicomico. Parkside lost against Wicomico in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-44 score last time.
Parkside's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Diamond Dixon , who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dixon has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie White, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.

Perhaps the best among them was Se'Lah Foreman, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The match was Foreman's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Corbin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Parkside's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Wicomico, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mardela at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Wicomico, they will play host again and welcome Snow Hill, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
