The Williams Valley Vikings are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Tri-Valley Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Williams Valley's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
Williams Valley's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Shenandoah Valley as Williams Valley made off with a 23-0 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Olivia Hand made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Quin Smeltz was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Kobularik, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Williams Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Tri-Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Schuylkill Haven on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 6-5. The loss put an end to the Bulldogs' undefeated start to the season.
Olivia Witmer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mady Schwalm, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Williams Valley pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average this season. As for Tri-Valley, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Both Williams Valley and Tri-Valley just can't seem to miss. Williams Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Tri-Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits.
