Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Friday.
On Thursday, Daingerfield took a serious blow against Jefferson, falling 66-32. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Daingerfield in their matchups with Jefferson: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Elysian Fields had to suffer through a rough 64-37 loss at the hands of Jefferson. Elysian Fields was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.
McKenzie LeBlanc put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. She scored a full 56.8% of Elysian Fields' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kayley Whitehead, who scored five points.
Daingerfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Elysian Fields, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.
