The Rickards Raiders will face off against the Wakulla War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rickards has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Rickards came up short against Madison County on Thursday, falling 14-4. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Cowboys recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Jayden Jones was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Rickards' success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 4-15 when he doesn't).
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wakulla, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past Leon 5-3.
William Wright looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Wakulla's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Estep, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Owen Klees, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Wakulla's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rickards, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rickards has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.9 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wakulla struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rickards might still be hurting after the 18-0 loss they got from Wakulla in their previous matchup back in March of 2018. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
