After a string of four wins, the Westfield School Hornets's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 45-35 to St. Anne-Pacelli. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Westfield School of the 51-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
St. Anne-Pacelli's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mckayla Hosley, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Hosley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ivyonna Thomas, who scored 16 points.
Westfield School's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Westfield School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-25 victory vs. Strong Rock Christian on the 9th. St. Anne-Pacelli has also already played their next match, a 53-29 win against Brookstone on the 9th.
