After flying high against the North Dallas Bulldogs last Tuesday, the Carter Cowboys came back down to earth. Carter fell 49-40 to Pinkston on Friday. Carter has struggled against Pinkston recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Carter's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tyari Ray, who scored 15 points, and Gabby Guyton who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guyton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nia Carroll-Walker, who scored five points.
Carter's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Pinkston, their victory bumped their record up to 5-21.
Carter will head out on the road to face off against Roosevelt at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Roosevelt has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17. As for Pinkston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Dallas at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Dallas is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
