Springfield typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Albany proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Bulldogs 9-1. Considering the Hornets have won seven matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Albany is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15.

Looking ahead, Albany will host Loranger at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
