Fisher Catholic won the last time they faced Bishop Rosecrans and things went their way  on Wednesday too. The Irish put the hurt on the Bishops with a sharp  13-3 victory. Considering the Irish have won six matchups by more than nine  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Lauren Kersell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching five innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Fisher Catholic let  Vanessa Funk and  Lucy Watkins run wild. Funk  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI, while  Watkins  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  RBI  Watkins has posted since back in May of 2024.  Taylor Terry also deserves some recognition as  she  snagged her first  stolen bases of the season.
 Fisher Catholic was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .304 or higher in 11 consecutive  contests.
Fisher Catholic is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-5 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their defeat was  their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-6.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Fisher Catholic is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Millersport  at 5:15  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans will  square off against  rival Berne Union  at 5:15  p.m.  on Monday.
