Osceola has been on the road for five straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The DeSoto County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Osceola will be strutting in after a victory while DeSoto County will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, it was close, but Osceola sidestepped Countryside for a 13-10 win.
Osceola got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Carter out in front who rushed for 121 yards. Carter is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Osceola also got help from Steven Doletzky who showed off his sure hands for 86 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to DeSoto County, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were dealt a 40-0 defeat at the hands of Booker on Friday. While losing is never fun, DeSoto County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while Booker is ranked 173rd).
Osceola's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 3-4. As for DeSoto County, their loss was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-7.
Osceola beat DeSoto County 22-15 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Osceola repeat their success, or does DeSoto County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
