Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sebastopol walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Ingomar Falcons on Saturday as they made off with a 13-4 win. Considering the Bobcats have won 15 matches by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Savannah Crout made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Sebastopol let Kadence Robertson and Emma Smith run wild. Robertson went 3-for-5 with three runs and one double, while Smith got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Those three runs gave Robertson a new career-high. Jaylee Coleman was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run.
Sebastopol kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
