Sayani Long Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Granite Hills's Sayani Long, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Long rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (101.6) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards.
This season, Long has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 101.6 rushing yards per game.

Nicholas Gaoa Delivers Best Performance of Season
Barstow was led to victory by Nicholas Gaoa, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Gaoa rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (115.8). Those 205 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Barstow's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Gaoa and Barstow will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Silverado at 7:30 p.m. on October 24th.

Dwayne Williams Goes Supernova in Barstow Win
Keeping Gaoa company is Dwayne Williams, a fellow Barstow player. He rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 36 yards and two touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Victor Valley, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Williams. Williams rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes the last time he and the Jackrabbits duked it out back in October of 2023.

Silverado Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Jace Weiss
Jace Weiss was instrumental in extending Silverado's winning streak to four on Friday. Weiss was dynamite, throwing for 142 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 31 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Weiss will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Adelanto on Friday. The last time Weiss took on the Saints, he threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 38 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Vic Villa Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Vic Villa of Victor Valley. Villa's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
Victor Valley moved to 5-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Villa and Victor Valley will challenge Granite Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
