The Chapman Panthers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 48-44 W over Carolina Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Chapman, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Chapman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Colt Mcallister out in front who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Mcallister scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashawn Cunningham, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Chapman's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10. As for Carolina Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Chapman will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Union County at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Union County is ranked 180th, while Chapman is ranked 199th). As for Carolina Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Travelers Rest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
