Basketball Recap: Roswell Extends Winning Streak to Four

Roswell had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Chattahoochee Cougars 50-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-33 back in January.

Roswell was led to victory by Eve Buckley and Mary Harms Mulkey. Buckley dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards, while Mulkey posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Buckley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Carlson, who put up five points in addition to five rebounds and four blocks.

Roswell was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Chattahoochee's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mayisha Kimoto, who scored four points along with seven boards and five blocks, and Loren Withrite, who had eight points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Kimoto a new career-high in blocks.

Roswell now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Chattahoochee, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12.

Roswell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 85-48 win against Seckinger on the 1st. As for Chattahoochee, they will head out on the road to face off against Lanier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
