The Lathrop Malemutes lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Wednesday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Service 72-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lathrop has scored all season.
Lathrop's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Luke Skinner, who scored four points along with ten rebounds, and Atticus Foley who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Lathrop has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Service, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
Lathrop will be playing in front of their home fans against Monroe Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Service, Service and Thunder Mountain will face off at 4:50 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Thunder Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Service likes a good challenge.
