They came out on top against Dayton Christian by a score of 61-51. This was payback for Miami Valley, who suffered a 56-43 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jazzy Arogun, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Barnard, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds.
Miami Valley's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Dayton Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami Valley will square off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Emmanuel Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Dayton Christian, they and the Pirates will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Riverside is ranked 583rd, while the WARRIORS are ranked 606th).
