Marksville is 10-0 against Bunkie since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Both teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
Last Saturday, Marksville ended up a good deal behind Madison and lost 61-44. Marksville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, after only 22 points in their last game, Bunkie made sure to put some points up on the board against Caldwell Parish on Friday. Bunkie blew past Caldwell Parish, posting a 65-35 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Bunkie has posted yet this season.
Marksville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Bunkie, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11.
Marksville came out on top in a nail-biter against Bunkie in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 32-29. Will Marksville repeat their success, or does Bunkie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
