Softball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Brownsburg's Winning Streak

Brownsburg dropped their record down to 15-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fishers Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 back in April.

As for Fishers, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 14-10. The win was a breath of fresh air for they as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

For Fishers' part, Kate Murray made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Murray was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Kendall Jordan was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Adrianne Cook, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Coming up, Brownsburg will head out to face off against Roncalli at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fishers, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Anderson at 5:30 p.m.
