The Xavier Prep Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 70-48 walloping at the hands of Shadow Hills. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Xavier Prep has suffered since December 15, 2023.
Despite the loss, Xavier Prep saw an underclassman step up: Paul Dreisbach scored 25 points along with three steals. That was a full 52.1% of Xavier Prep's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Johnny Ferrel, who scored 12 points.
Xavier Prep's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-16. As for Shadow Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Xavier Prep will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Palm Springs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 328 points over their last five matches. As for Shadow Hills, they will be playing at home against Palm Desert at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palm Desert will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
