The Moses Brown Quakers came tearing into Monday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 48-28 margin over East Greenwich. Moses Brown has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Moses Brown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lauren Bousquet led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Bousquet hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaelynn Perez, who scored 13 points along with five blocks and three steals.
Moses Brown pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for East Greenwich, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Moses Brown will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Mounties at 6:30 p.m. Mount St. Charles Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully the Quakers likes a good challenge. As for East Greenwich, they will head out on the road to challenge the Thunderbolts at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Rhode Island (Cranston East is ranked 40th, while the Avengers are ranked 35th).
