Maclay had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles 8-1 on Thursday. Considering the Marauders have won 17 matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Episcopal School of Jacksonville from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Barnes Ray led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Maclay's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight games. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3.

Coming up, Maclay will head out to take on Tampa Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Tampa Prep will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Maclay surely won't give up without a fight. Episcopal School of Jacksonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
