In this week's postseason power rankings action, one team rose to the occasion while another fell hard. Among the games was a one-point thriller between Scituate and Dennis-Yarmouth Regional.

The power rankings welcomes a newcomer to the scene as Franklin earned the 18th spot after its strong showing last week. It blew past Brockton 26 - 3. Franklin did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps state rankings indicated.
No Stoppin 'Em
It was another game, another high-octane performance for Central last week (their 7th in a row). It put the hurt on Agawam with a conclusive 71 - 7 victory. Central's margin of victory (64 points) marked the biggest win the team has had all season. The combined 78 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Dracut (17th in the power rankings) and Marblehead (20th). Dracut was able to grind out a solid victory over Marblehead, winning 28 - 14. The triumph boosted Dracut a satisfying 19 spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Acton-Boxborough (6th in the power rankings) and St. John's Prep (3rd). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Only one team will win this week, so we'll find out on Friday which team fails to repeat its success.
