Ridgefield is 0-10 against Ludlowe since April of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Ludlowe took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridgefield, who comes in off a win.
Ridgefield was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against McMahon on Friday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Senators an 18-0 shutout. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Caitlin McGratty tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jada Metzger, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Cappiello, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs.
Ridgefield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McMahon only posted an OBP of .062.
Meanwhile, Ludlowe has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against St. Joseph, falling 15-1. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Cadets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Ludlowe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Santa Barbara, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Ridgefield's record now sits at 5-7. As for Ludlowe, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 5-7.
Ridgefield couldn't quite get it done against Ludlowe in their previous matchup back in June of 2024 as they fell 3-0. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
