7A District 6 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Osceola extended the longest winning streak in 7A District 6 this week by beating Gateway, 28-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Osceola took down the Panthers 28-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. STAFON McCRAY ran for 107 yards in the win.
Doug Nichols' team's dynamic duo of DAEQUAN HARRISON and SANTIAGO HOFFMAN proved tough for Gateway to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. HARRISON threw for 46 yards and HOFFMAN had 32 yards receiving. RAKEEM RANDALL helped Osceola's passing attack out by catching one ball for 14 yards.
Zachary Smith provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Gene Mitchell's team lost to the Kowboys. He completed two passes for six yards and also ran for 146 yards. Smith's favorite target this week was Smith, who caught one pass for 13 yards.
Celebration's William Santry and Johnny Victor have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Santry has thrown for 725 yards this season, while Victor, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 25 catches for 484 yards. Smith from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 1501 yards.
Harmony and St. Cloud played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Harmony eventually emerging with a 26-20 victory.
