The Northwest Yeshiva Lions lost against the Sound Christian Lions back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The match between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Northwest Yeshiva falling 48-34. They have not had much luck with Sound Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Northwest Yeshiva lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Paulina Gamel, who scored 12 points. Gamel scored a full 35.3% of Northwest Yeshiva's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rose Clayman, who scored 12 points.
Northwest Yeshiva now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Sound Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Northwest Yeshiva will head out on the road to face off against Concordia Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sound Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pope John Paul II at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
