Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crownpoint). They put the hurt on the Newcomb Skyhawks with a sharp 64-43 victory on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 28-point performance the game before.

Crownpoint moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Newcomb, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing St. Michael's the next time they take the court. Newcomb will head out to face St. Michael's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Crownpoint will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
