The Jefferson Christian Academy Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Jefferson Christian Academy humbled the Raiders with a 68-36 victory. Given Jefferson Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Raiders are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Forsyth Home Educators had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.2 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-27 victory over Greater Cabarrus S at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Forsyth Home Educators had established a 35 point advantage.
Jefferson Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-2 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.
