This was payback for Laurence Manning Academy, who suffered  a  9-7  loss the last time these two teams met.
 The result came thanks to  Brayden Barnhill's shutout, as he gave up just three  hits and racked up six Ks. It was the first time this season that  he  tossed five or more  strikeouts.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  BJ Balls, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.  Wyatt Powell was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.
 Laurence Manning Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Williamsburg Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-4.
 Laurence Manning Academy will play host again  on Wednesday to welcome Carolina Academy, where first pitch is scheduled  at 6:30  p.m. Laurence Manning Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.1  runs per game  this season. Williamsburg Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
