North Star has gone 10-0 against Rockwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The North Star Cougars will head out to challenge the Rockwood Rockets at 7:15 p.m. North Star has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
North Star is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Meyersdale to the tune of 84-37 on Wednesday. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 28 points or more this season.

Ethan Smith was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 24 points, nine boards, and nine steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Retassie, who posted 16 points along with seven boards and five assists.
North Star smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Rockwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Berlin Brothersvalley and fell 71-31. The Rockets were down 61-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
North Star will have to contain Tammo Leeferink as he made an impact in Rockwood's last game. He posted four points and ten rebounds. Garrison Hale was another key player, putting up two points and seven rebounds.
North Star pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.1 points. As for Rockwood, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: North Star hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 58 points per game. It's a different story for Rockwood, though, as they've been averaging only 36.4 points. The only thing between North Star and another offensive beatdown is Rockwood. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Everything came up roses for North Star against Rockwood in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 67-32 win. Will North Star repeat their success, or does Rockwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
