The Dumont Huskies will challenge the Fort Lee Bridgemen at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Dumont turned things around against Saddle Brook on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Falcons. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Huskies this season.
Eric Orso made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alex Martin, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Dylan Mendez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Fort Lee entered their tilt with Dumont on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Huskies.
Fort Lee also got a great performance from Gabriel Garcia as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Chris Kim was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Marrero, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Fort Lee pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Dumont, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dumont has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fort Lee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Dumont came up short against Fort Lee in their previous meeting on Monday, falling 9-4. Will the Huskies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
