Basketball Recap: Chagrin Falls Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chagrin Falls had won two straight games and Avery Russell did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Chagrin Falls Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-34 victory over the Orrville Red Riders thanks in part to Russell, who went 7-for-17 on her way to 20 points and five rebounds. The matchup was her third in a row with at least 20 points.

Lilly Stukus also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season. Those two blocks gave her a new career-high.

Chagrin Falls' record now sits at 14-9. As for Orrville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-15.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orrville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
