Baseball Recap: Cienega Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Cienega won the last time they faced Flowing Wells and things went their way on Monday too. The Bobcats were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Caballeros. Considering the Bobcats have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

JAMES LINZMEYER was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Cienega is 6-2 when LINZMEYER posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was ANDREW ROMO, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Cienega hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flowing Wells struck out 11 times.

Cienega is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Flowing Wells, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13-1.

Cienega will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Caballeros: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
