Lafayette won the last time they faced Acadiana and Brae'Ona Smith did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lions blew past the Rams 3-0 on Tuesday thanks in part to Smith, who had 20 digs and two assists. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Lafayette's got stronger as the match went on, holding Acadiana to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-18, 25-13.

Lafayette has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Acadiana, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lafayette is set to challenge their familiar foe Sulphur at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Acadiana will face off against rival New Iberia at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
