The Cary Imps scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 58-50 win over Apex Friendship. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cary.
Cary was led to victory by Nadia Snesarev and Kyndall Brewington. Snesarev scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Brewington scored 25 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brewington has scored all season. Luci Augustson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Avery Kiger, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ailani Collazo, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Apex Friendship smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cary only pulled down four offensive rebounds.
Cary's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Apex Friendship, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cary the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Green Hope at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Apex Friendship will take on Green Level at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Level presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Apex Friendship in North Carolina (Green Level is ranked 62nd, while Apex Friendship is ranked 225th).
