The Seneca Bobcats were the 55-44 winner over the Belton-Honea Path Bears when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. Seneca received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 43-26 to Belton-Honea Path. Seneca has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Claire Eavenson was Seneca's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Eavenson also led the team in assists with three. She held things down on the boards with 16 rebounds.
Seneca's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Belton-Honea Path, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seneca will be home for the holidays to greet Easley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Belton-Honea Path, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Greenville H at 9:00 a.m. on December 16th. Greenville H's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Belton-Honea Path's offense will have their work cut out for Belton-Honea Path.
