There's no place like home for the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Southern Christian 36-33.
Tuscaloosa Home Educators found their leader in underclassman Amelia Arsenault, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Arsenault has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lanie Westerberg, who scored eight points.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chloe Oswald, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Oswald pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Caylin Oswald, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Tuscaloosa Home Educators' victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Southern Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Tuscaloosa Home Educators will head out on the road to face off against the Torches at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
