The Overton Bobcats won the last time they faced Knowledge Academies, and things went their way on Friday too. Overton was the clear victor by a 55-35 margin over Knowledge Academies. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Overton has scored all year.
Overton can attribute much of their success to Ryleigh Meanus, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jehmel Madison, who scored eight points.
Overton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Knowledge Academies, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Overton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cane Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Knowledge Academies will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Franklin Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Franklin Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 244 points over their last four matches.
