Forgan has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Balko Bison at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forgan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 472nd, while Balko is ranked 198th).
Forgan suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 55-27 defeat at the hands of Turpin.
In what's become a running theme this season, Balko gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on Goodwell with a sharp 51-29 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Balko.
Balko can attribute much of their success to Estrella Martinez, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Emelie Trentham, who scored ten points along with six steals. Aspen Freeman was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Forgan bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Balko, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Forgan barely slipped by Balko in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 35-34. Will Forgan repeat their success, or does Balko have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
