The Maret Frogs will take on the St. Albans Bulldogs on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Maret is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Sidwell Friends, who was ranked 20th at the time (Maret was ranked tenth). The Frogs took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 50-6 victory over the Quakers. Considering the Frogs have won four matchups by more than 22 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

| 10/17/25 @ West Point | 168.8 |
| 10/03/25 vs Allegany | 154.4 |
| 10/11/25 @ Saint James | 128.9 |

It was another big night for Trysten Johnson, who threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns while completing 91.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 51 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (170.1). Another player making a difference was Travis Marcus Jr., who picked up 84 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Meanwhile, St. Albans waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 32-14 win over the Bears.
Maret better keep an eye on Brett Paukstis. He was instrumental in St. Albans' win, throwing for 279 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes. Zahir Cobb got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
St. Albans didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Trey Sheridan, Tyler Smith, and Cobb picked up one apiece. Cobb got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
St. Albans' victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Maret, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Saturday's game might be decided on the ground. Maret has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like St. Albans struggles in that department as they've been averaging 177.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Maret and St. Albans were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, but Maret came up empty-handed after a 35-34 loss. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Paukstis, who threw for 311 yards and five TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes.
