Florence put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed  a  70-66 win over the Camp Verde Cowboys. Given the Gophers' advantage  in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings  (they are ranked 39th, while the Cowboys are ranked 179th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
Florence's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Brody Ramirez, who  went 10 of 16  on his way to 26 points in addition to six  rebounds and four  steals. Ramirez is trending in the right direction considering he's  improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Logan Stenson, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds.
 Florence  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 12  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive rebounds in 19 consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
 Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Jordan McMahon-Fullmer, who  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and ten  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Tristan Clarke, who  went 5 of 8  on his way to 15 points.
Florence's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Camp Verde,  with the  defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-7.
 Florence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  75-55  victory against Parker on the 28th. As for Camp Verde, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  45-44  win against Show Low on the 28th.
