While Shelley's win against Preston wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Russets had just enough and edged out the Indians 7-6 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Russets as they're now sitting on five straight.

Shelley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Beck, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another was Thad Lindsey, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Shelley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

Shelley's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Preston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Shelley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-6 victory against Bear Lake on the 19th. As for Preston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-4 win against Kimberly on the 19th.
