The Peck Pirates's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Ubly Bearcats at 8:30 p.m. on December 18th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard on Monday.
Last Thursday, Peck took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 66-26 win over Landmark Academy.
Peck found their leader in underclassman Thomas West, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was West's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carsten Lieblang, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Ubly at home against Memphis on Friday as the squad secured a 68-24 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Ubly.
Peck's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Ubly, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Peck barely slipped by Ubly in their previous meeting back in March, winning 38-37. Does Peck have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ubly turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
