Prairie Heights is 0-10 against Central Noble since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Prairie Heights Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Central Noble Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Prairie Heights comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, Prairie Heights took a serious blow against West Noble, falling 48-7. While losing is never fun, Prairie Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 314th, while West Noble is ranked 84th).
Meanwhile, Central Noble's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They received a tough blow as they fell 22-7 to Garrett. Central Noble has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even if they lost, Central Noble's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Jacob Chenoweth and his two sacks.
Prairie Heights' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.75 points per game. Central Noble has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Prairie Heights was taken down by Central Noble 52-0 in their previous matchup back in September. Can Prairie Heights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
