The Hillcrest Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Thomasville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 399 points over their last six matchups.
In what's become a running theme this season, Hillcrest gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 63-39 margin over Robertsdale. Given Hillcrest's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Robertsdale is ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hillcrest found their leader in underclassman J.T. Barlow, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barlow has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jermonte Stallworth, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Thomasville suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Alabama Christian Academy by a score of 48-46.
Hillcrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Thomasville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Hillcrest against Thomasville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 72-45 win. Does Hillcrest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Thomasville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
