Ganesha has gone a perfect 10-0 against Pomona recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Giants will face off against the Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ganesha has 15 straight wins, Pomona has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Pomona's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Ganesha hadn't allowed a single run the last five times they've hit the field. The Giants were the clear victors by a 24-0 margin over Bassett on Tuesday. Considering the Giants have won 16 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kalena Lemus tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hollynn Gentry, who fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Malia Becerra was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
Ganesha hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 17 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Pomona came up short against Workman on Thursday, falling 19-8.
Pomona got a massive performance out of Mayrin Hernandez-Linares, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those stolen bases were Hernandez-Linares' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Hernandez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Ganesha pushed their record up to 19-4-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Pomona, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ganesha has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .566. However, it's not like Pomona struggles in that department as they've averaged .457. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ganesha took their victory against Pomona in their previous meeting on April 10th by a conclusive 13-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Giants since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
