After flying high against the Central Valley Cougars on Thursday, the Fullerton Warriors came back down to earth. Fullerton fell to Ansley/Litchfield 49-44. Fullerton has struggled against Ansley/Litchfield recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Fullerton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kane Wetovick, who scored 8 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Terrick Gonsior was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Fullerton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ansley/Litchfield, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fullerton will take on Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Riverside is ranked 75th, while Fullerton is ranked 51st). As for Ansley/Litchfield, they will play host again and welcome Elm Creek, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Elm Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
