The Perry Commodores will take on the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Perry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Perry took a 11-run defeat the last time they faced off against Allen East, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Commodores narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mustangs 11-9. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Hunter Scott was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Pandora-Gilboa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-2 to Jefferson.
Pandora-Gilboa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was G Kempf, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Perry has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.
Pandora-Gilboa's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Perry hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for Pandora-Gilboa, though, as they've only averaged .162. Will they be able to contain Perry's hitters?
Perry was able to grind out a solid win over Pandora-Gilboa in their previous meeting back in May of 2015, winning 7-3. Do the Commodores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
