Riverside has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Snyder took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverside, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, it was close, but Riverside sidestepped First Coast for a 37-34 victory. The victory was just what Riverside needed coming off of a 60-17 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Bishop Snyder's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-35 walloping at the hands of Sandalwood.
Bishop Snyder's defeat came about despite a quality game from Asya Jones, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Jones' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carolyn Caldwell, who scored 5 points along with 8 rebounds.
Riverside's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 2-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Bishop Snyder, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
