It's playoff time, and Saint Andrew had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles  6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Scots sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Saint Andrew's got a great performance from  Chase Lambalot as he  tossed six innings while giving up  four earned runs off   four  hits. Lambalot has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Aaron Orozco was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Connor Berman, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Saint Andrew's pushed their record up to 22-6 with the  win, which was their eighth straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for St. John Paul II Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 20-12-1.
As of now, neither Saint Andrew's nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
