Make it ten blowout wins for the Crane Cranes this season. They claimed a resounding 68-36 win over Compass Academy on the road. The victory was nothing new for Crane as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Despite the defeat, Compass Academy saw an underclassman step up: Peyton Stewart scored seven points along with 15 rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Sareyah Hinojoz, who scored five points.
Even though they lost, Compass Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. This was only their 13th loss (out of 15 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Crane has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season. As for Compass Academy, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crane will take on the Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Compass Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Coyotes at 6:00 p.m.
