With a playoff game on the line, the Pinole Valley Spartans rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 4-1 victory. Pinole Valley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 11 matches by three goals or more this season.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Eric Preston and
Ethan Normington, who scored all four of Pinole Valley's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 47 so far this season.
Pinole Valley's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those six contests. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-3.
Pinole Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kennedy also has no future games currently scheduled.
